How often should I clean my windows? At least twice a year, in the spring and fall, to prevent buildup of dirt and grime. However on the Outer Banks we tend to have a significant amount of wind and salt blowing year round… depending on the location of your home and if you rent it you might consider an additional clean or just a spiff (out only of the main view windows of your home usually used for oceanfront or sound front homes)
Do you put a film on the windows to keep them cleaner? No, being in this business for almost 30 years we have found through trial and error any film that is sold to help keep windows cleaned longer actually creates more problems than it solves. We have had many homeowners report that over time it leaves the windows tacky which collects debris. We have had to remove this film on windows for homeowners and it is costly to remove because it takes so long to remove on each window.

Will Power washing damage my siding or decks? We use a low pressure power washing method which does not have the power to damage any siding or decking. Unlike the High Pressure power washers you can buy at home depot, many companies use these types, our low pressure system will not splinter or beat up your siding. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples when looking for power washing services. Ask questions when hiring a power washer.. You do not want any High Pressure system on your home or siding
Will my plants get damaged with a power wash? We understand how much time and effort goes into plantings around your home. While many factors on the Outer Banks can affect your plants, lack of rain, NE wind, etc. we make every effort to protect your plants when power washing. Our power washers will rinse the plants around your home before, during and after with fresh water. We do recommend that you consider the time of year when planning a power wash. If you have a lot of plants or maintain a garden in the spring, summer and fall you should consider waiting until late fall thru early spring when power washing. Summer can be brutal and dry on the OBX which can already put your plants at a disadvantage. Power washing in late July and August can be especially hard on plants even when making the best effort to protect them.. If you can consider waiting a little longer mid Sept and after can really help those plants out.
